Scholarships

WUJS Institute participants ages 21-30 are eligible to apply for a substantial grant or scholarship from Masa, a joint venture of the Jewish Agency for Israel and the Israeli government. As of 2008, all requests for Masa scholarships must be made by filling out an on line form from their web site www.masaisrael.org/Masa/English/MASA+Grants.
After filling out the form, print it out and send it with your original signature to either the New York or Arad WUJS offices. MASA will notify you after the process is complete regarding the grant/scholarship.

There are a number of scholarship options open to students. In many places, local Jewish Federations, synagogues and Zionist Federations may be willing to provide financial assistance and candidates should approach these groups first.

The WUJS Institute provides a number of limited scholarships to assist candidates who are encountering financial difficulty. These scholarships will normally not exceed $500.
Candidates who wish to apply for a WUJS scholarship should first investigate the possibility of receiving local funding. Scholarship application forms are availible from the Registrar upon request.

It is with deep gratitude that we say thank you to the following organizations
